The Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders is the first step to obtain a personal licence to sell alcohol by retail in England and Wales.
The next public courses at Cleobury will be on 14th February 2018 and 14th March 2018. The courses are £129 per head, no VAT, plus a small Eventbrite booking fee.
Our speaker has many years of experience of delivering training and managing licensed retail operations. He first delivered the personal licence holder’s qualification in 2006. Currently working for a wine retailer, he was previously a manager with a national pub chain and was general manager of a hotel.
This HABC accredited qualification is for those aged 18 years+ working in or preparing to work in any industry that involves the retail sale of alcohol. It is a requirement for anyone who wishes to hold a personal licence. This qualification covers the main requirements of the Licensing Act 2003 and the legal responsibilities of a personal licence holder. Anyone wishing to authorise the sale of alcohol by retail on licensed premises must hold a personal licence. Subjects covered include purpose and period of validity of a personal licence, the application process and legal duties of a personal licence and licensing law.
If you are currently working in licensed premises, it will help your learning if you read the premises licence – particularly the operating schedule – before you attend the course.
The fee includes all course materials along with the Awarding Body learner registration and examination fee. Lunch is included (let us know about special requirements).
Please bring with you original photographic proof of identification to show the exam invigilator – a photo driving licence or passport is ideal. You will not be able to sit the exam without it.
